Notes from the rehearsal trenches

Today in rehearsal was a good day. We got all we needed to accomplish in the time we had and had extra time to play a game! But during the actual part of rehearsal Eric tried to finish math homework. He had to get help from Kelly and Katharine, but finished it without talking too much. We can all say that he is most definitely the quietest person in the room at all times! Luckily today there were no drawings of Kelly, Sabina or the Unicorn. Although when the girls were supposed to be practicing our curtsies, Julia and I had a ballet and gymnastics recital. Nobody tell Nancy!

The rehearsals are very interesting and very social and interactive. Being accepted into the group was very exciting and I was very proud of everyone who got in and had the guts to try out.

Wasn’t so hot tonight. Can tell everyone was still getting back into the regular routine. No one was “on-call.” Eric was quieter tonight. It’s all my fault. I was trashing Eric on the blog. I’m sorry, Eric. But it’s still true. You talk lots. Don’t worry, though.  It’s a unique Eric thing. Brooklyn didn’t bring the bunny, but she did bring Timbits! Just as good. When everyone left: My Mom wrote on twitter a couple days ago “White smoke, new pope, or there’s a fire in the Vatican.” Or there’s a fire in the rehearsal room. Talked to a janitor. No one knew. No worries though, the school is still standing… I think. No more trashing Eric, Nancy. We all love him!

Wonderful to see everyone after March Break. Just as crazy as ever! Happily, everyone remembered their blocking, and a good run-through of the first half of the play was had by all. Lily can’t keep a straight face during her scenes with Rupert. Could be the duck faces David keeps making. Big Bart was hilarious as usual! Rupert and Dudley look genuinely afraid... AND STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTERS!
